Colonial Figures

Colonial or "colon" figures -  2 Meters in height -    Originate in West Africa - Ivory Coast during the colonial period.   "Colon" statues is a term derived from the French statues colon - a French noun for a colonist.  The statues commonly depict European colonial officials such as doctors, soldiers or technicians.  They are generally painted in bright or glossy colours with vegetable-based paints
