Ashanti African Brass Trade Beads Ghana

Vintage Brass beads from the 1940's - Hand crafted using the "lost wax method" whereby a meticulous process of sculpting a wax model, encasing it in clay and melting away the wax to create a mold of molten brass.  This design is called the large Ashanti Brass Bead
