The Gather Shop was “born” in July 2020 in the midst of Covid. After 25 years in the property industry in Knysna, Covid highlighted that nothing in life is guaranteed and that we should live life to the fullest and do what brings our soul joy.

We source authentic African décor from across the continent, and in so doing support artisans in remote villages across Africa.

Each piece has a beautiful story about its origins, highlighting the rich cultural heritage passed down from generations.
